The Team Culture® Model identifies four different team cultures, each of which either strengthens or hinders the team’s ability to achieve its key objectives.
The Team Culture® Test is a tool that helps the team to discover its current culture through an online-test and a dialogue meeting where the test results are shared and discussed.
Team Culture® is a Teambuilding 3.0 created for teams in complex organisation. See this video about the three generations and how this simple tool can be useful for you.
The members of the team answer the online-test individually, and the team receives its test result as a Team Culture® Profile together with a complete set of materials to enable the team to reflect on their team culture. The team will identify their hidden potential and will optimize their problem solving and knowledge sharing capacity.
The team can carry out the Team Culture® Test and the Team Culture® Meeting by using the step-by-step instructions in the guidance notes. The team may also ask a facilitator to take care of the test procedure and facilitate the Team Culture® Meeting.
BACKGROUND TO THE TEST
The renowned Cultural Sociologist and management consultant Dr. Elisabeth Plum developed The Team Culture® Model in 2012-14. She designed the test because she observed that teams frequently fail to use all of their resources and miss out on the richness and diversity in their teams. Misunderstandings, lack of knowledge sharing, interpersonal conflicts and a drive for consensus often results in waste of time and sub-optimal solutions. Value is destroyed, and new business opportunities are missed, and development potential is overlooked because team members do not get the best out of each other. The team culture is a vital factor.
